Dogs Switzerland in Padang Earthquake

A powerful earthquake flattened hundreds of buildings in western Indonesia on Tuesday, killing at least 1100 people and overwhelming hospitals with injured, officials and witnesses said.

The magnitude-6.3 quake on Sumatra island was felt in neighboring Malaysia and hundreds of miles away in Singapore, where some office buildings were evacuated.

Group Switzerland rescue team consisting of 108 people and 18 dogs arrived in Padang on Friday October 2, 2009 only 40 hours after the earthquake with the strength 7.6 which has destroyed the city of Padang, Indonesia. Here are presented the photos.
